Job summary

A leading multinational medical device manufacturer in Dublin is seeking a Direct Buyer to manage a portfolio of suppliers. The role involves purchasing materials, applying lean supply methods, and monitoring key delivery and inventory metrics. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of procurement experience. • Experience dealing with suppliers across Europe, Asia, and North America.

• Monitor metrics in delivery, inventory, cost, quality, and service.
• Lead issue resolution programs with suppliers.

Our client, a leading, multinational medical device manufacturer, based in North County Dublin has instructed us to search for a Direct Buyer. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of direct material suppliers and support its manufacturing operation.

Salary: €60k per annum

Total Package: (Up to €80k per annum)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Purchase materials to support production and service in line with business needs.
• Maximise the use of ‘Lean supply’ methods to meet delivery and inventory objectives.
• Monitor key metrics in the areas of on-time delivery, inventory, cost, quality and service to achieve agreed targets with suppliers.
• Lead all significant issue resolution programs with suppliers in conjunction with Engineering and Quality

Your qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 4 years professional experience within Procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience of dealing with a broad range of supplier organisations across Europe, Asia and North America.

Your attributes and skills:

• You are a team player, capable of building strong and influential relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• You have a good working knowledge of procurement methods, tools, processes and reports.
• You are self-directing, goal orientated and able to prioritize you workload.
