Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Ennis is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support our dialysis clinic. Working under a Registered Nurse, you will help prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients, relatives and visitors.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week with shifts Monday to Saturday 06:30 to 18:00. Training is provided to develop knowledge of company procedures and quality management.

Qualifications

• Healthcare background preferred and NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
• Pro-active, able to work under supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations.
• Ensure the treatment environment is safe for patients, relatives and visitors.
• Involves extensive walking between patients and some lifting; regular training provided.
• Develop knowledge of company procedures and quality management; strong computer and interpersonal skills required.
