DevSecOps Engineer: Scaling Irish SaaS Company!

Are you ready to own the platform that powers a fast-growing, cloud-native startup? They are a successful, well-funded Irish SaaS business who are creating a new DevSecOps team. They need a passionate DevSecOps engineering expert to build the secure, resilient foundation for their next stage of growth.

What You’ll Be Doing: The Mission
  • Secure Cloud Architecture: Design, build, and continuously improve secure, highly available systems on AWS using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
  • CI/CD Evolution: Lead the refinement of GitLab CI/CD pipelines, making deployments faster, more reliable, and automatically enforcing security standards (including scanning and testing).
  • Cloud‑Native Security: Implement and enforce cutting‑edge security best practices across infrastructure, Kubernetes, containers, and secrets management.
  • Reliability & Observability: Drive the observability roadmap, enhancing monitoring, alerting, and refining incident response playbooks to maintain exceptional uptime.
  • Compliance Leadership: Lead and manage the full SOC2 audit preparation process, from maintaining controls and coordinating evidence to ensuring continuous compliance.
  • Engineering Partnership: Collaborate with feature teams to ensure secure design, smooth releases, and build efficient, friction‑free developer workflows.
  • Cultural Impact: Mentor and champion DevSecOps principles, operational excellence, and cloud security best practices across the entire engineering organization.
What You’ll Bring: The Expertise

We’re looking for an experienced platform builder with a security‑first mindset and a passion for automation.

Required Technical Prowess
  • 5 – 10+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or similar roles.
  • Deep AWS Expertise: Proficiency across core services, including VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS (Container orchestration is a must), RDS, networking, and security services.
  • IaaC & Automation: Strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, and advanced usage of GitLab CI/CD.
  • Security Foundation: Solid understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, secrets management, and least‑privilege design.
  • Compliance Focus: Experience and familiarity with SOC2.
