Job summary

Synergy Recruitment Partners is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a range of water treatment projects across Ireland. You will join the Design Team and focus on mechanical equipment selection, hydraulic system design and drawing development in collaboration with the drawing team.

Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, you will liaise with clients from concept to delivery, perform design calculations, develop P&IDs, support procurement, and ensure project documentation meets

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering (Level 7/8/9) or equivalent.
• Experience in water treatment, pumping/piping or fluid handling is desirable.
• Ability to work on own initiative and coordinate design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Design Engineer to support end-to-end design projects.
• Develop mechanical equipment selections and hydraulic designs.
• Produce and refine P&IDs with the drawing team.
• Provide guidance on equipment and support procurement activities.
• Ensure that project documentation complies with the Project Quality Plan.

Opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join Design Team as aMechanical Design Engineer. The successful candidate will work on a wide scope of projects across the Ireland in the Water Treatment sector. This is an exciting role where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills. As part of this role you will form an integral part of the design and project delivery team with particular focus on mechanical equipment selection, hydraulic system design and drawing development through collaboration with the drawing team. Day to day of the role: Collaborating with the Senior Design Engineer to support end to end design projects with the support of the wider Design team Liaising with clients from initial concept, feasibility, detailed design, implementation to final delivery Maintaining a high standard of work ensuring that you are compliant with all specifications and engineering practices Act as a point of contact to deal with any technical issues throughout projects Linking with a variety of Project Managers, Design Leads and Sub Consultants throughout each stage of the project Conduct detailed design calculations and equipment selections Working alongside our highly experienced drawing team to develop P&IDs and design drawings Involved in providing guidance on equipment selection and support in procurement activities Ensuring that all Project Documentation is managed according to the requirements of the Project Quality Plan and project specific requirements Required skills for this role: Level 7/8/9 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Previous experience in industries such as Water, Pumping/Piping, Fluid Handling Systems, Oil/Gas (Desirable) Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage & coordinate design
