Qualifications

• Clinical dental skills and knowledge appropriate to a Dental Nurse role.
• Strong Infection Control and Decontamination procedures.
• Experience supporting Orthodontics or willingness to learn.
• Registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and patient-care skills.
• Attention to detail, reliability and strong organization in a clinical setting.
• Prior experience in a dental practice or healthcare environment is an advantage.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols and work on-site.

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Dental Nurse role based at Killiney Dental in Killiney. The Dental Nurse will support dentists and specialists during clinical procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, arranging instruments, and assisting chairside throughout appointments. Daily tasks include maintaining strict infection control and decontamination protocols, organizing patient records, and ensuring equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use. The role also involves providing clear pre- and post-treatment guidance to patients, supporting orthodontic and general dental care, and contributing to a calm, supportive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Clinical dental skills in Dentistry and Dental Care appropriate to a Dental Nurse role
• Strong knowledge and practice of Infection Control and Decontamination procedures
• Experience supporting Orthodontics or willingness to learn orthodontic procedures
• Recognized dental nursing qualification and current professional registration (where applicable)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
