Job summary

Keelings, a 100% Irish-owned family business, is seeking a store forecasting specialist to support Supervalu stores nationwide in planning and forecasting flowers and plants using historical data and predictive sales planning to drive growth while minimizing waste.

You will build store profiles, review sales and waste data, plot orders with system and Excel, and coordinate with field sales to deliver daily consolidated orders to supply chain. Travel to stores may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong numeric and data interpretation skills.
• Experience in forecasting or replenishment is preferred.
• Proficient IT and Excel familiarity.
• Ability to work independently on projects.
• Excellent communication with field teams.

Responsibilities

• Forecast flowers and plants stock for stores using historical data.
• Build store profiles to meet/exceed weekly targets.
• Review WOW and YOY sales and waste data to inform stock decisions.
• Plot store orders using system and Excel tools.
• Coordinate with field sales for timely deliveries and space.
• Send consolidated orders to supply chain daily.
• Attend procurement forecast meetings and product reviews.
• Travel to stores for visits as needed.

Role Overview

This role is to support Supervalu stores nationwide with the planning and forecasting of flowers and plants to their stores using historical data and predictive sales planning to drive sales growth whilst maintaining a low level of in store waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Build individual store profiles of what stock stores can trade in a week to meet and exceed € store targets in both flowers and plants
• Review WOW and YOY sales and waste data to make informed decisions on what stock to push the store
• Using a mix of system and excel based tools plot orders to stores on the required delivery days
• Review daily sales and waste from your stores to enable better delivery of product to stores and extend and maximise product shelf life
• Action delists from your stores on high wasting lines daily and weekly
• Push forecasts on strong performing lines
• Daily calls with the field sales teams on what's working and what's not establishing where the gaps are and what space they can get you to drive more sales
• Review photos from store reports to ensure your stores are well merchandised and they are to Planogram
• Send consolidated orders to supply chain daily to source
• Attend meetings with procurement team looking at and discussing long and short-term forecast requirements
• Weekly review of store targets and how you can push further growth
• Get a monthly stock take from field sales teams and use to confirm stores stock position

What You'll Need

• Previous experience in a store forecasting team or central replenishment team would be of benefit
• Ability to work on own initiative on project-based tasks.
• Attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills.
• Results orientated.
• Highly numerate and analytical with ability to interpret data.
• Excellent IT skills e.g. MS Excel
• Good Communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and deal with customers and our field sales team in a courteous andprofessional manner.
• Flexible and resilient
• Work 5 over 7
• May be required to travel for store visits etc.
