Job summary

Réalta Technologies are seeking an experienced DeltaV Automation Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical client based in North Dublin. This role involves contributing to the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning and start-up.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in automation/controls within pharma or life sciences, with hands-on Emerson DeltaV DCS experience and a strong GMP mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Automation / Controls Engineering.
• Proven experience working with Emerson DeltaV DCS.
• Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle, including design, DeltaV configuration, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide automation engineering support throughout the full project lifecycle, from design through to commissioning and start-up.
• Develop and configure Emerson DeltaV DCS systems in line with project requirements.
• Develop and review automation documentation, including functional specifications and design documentation.
• Support and execute FAT, SAT, testing and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DeltaV and automation system issues during testing, commissioning and start-up.
• Support the successful handover of automation systems to site operations.

• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life sciences industry experience.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle, including: Design, DeltaV configuration, Testing / FAT / SAT, Commissioning and Start-up.
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Relevant engineering qualification in Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Controls Engineering or a related discipline.

Desirable

• DeltaV Batch experience.
• Experience with pharmaceutical validation / CSV activities.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA or MES systems.
• Experience on greenfield or brownfield pharmaceutical projects.
