Job summary

Centra Kilbeggan in Ireland seeks a Deli Assistant to prepare high-quality hot and cold deli products and ensure customer satisfaction as a top priority. You will handle sandwich and hot food preparation, slice meats, and maintain display standards throughout the day.

The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication skills, customer service experience, and a passion for food. You will work as part of a team in a busy store, supporting shoppers with knowledge and recommendations.

Qualifications

HACCP training is desirable but not required.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and multitask under pressure.
A passion for food and ability to inspire shoppers.

Responsibilities

Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas (sandwiches, rolls, hot foods and sliced meats) per portion control measures.
Cook, prepare and display foods sold throughout the day.
Ensure counters across all fresh food departments are maintained to the highest standards.
Share knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers.
Deal with customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.
