Job summary

Centra in Mallow, Co Cork is seeking a Deli Assistant to support the deli counter with the preparation of hot and cold deli items and to ensure customer satisfaction remains the top priority. The role requires teamwork, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to customer service.

As part of a fast-paced store environment, you will prepare sandwiches, rolls, and hot foods, maintain high display standards, and share knowledge and recommendations with shoppers.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment; multitask under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers.
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.

Main purpose of the role:

Responsible for the preparation of high quality hot and cold deli products and for ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage
