Job summary

Blackrock Clinic in Dublin is recruiting a Staff Nurse for Day Surgery. This permanent, full-time role is 37.5 hours per week and based on-site in Dublin. The nurse will practice under An Bord Altranais guidelines and be part of a leading private hospital group within Blackrock Health.

Qualifications

• Registration with An Bord Altranais (general division)
• Minimum 2 years in an acute hospital setting
• Evidence of ongoing professional development

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients.
• Document admission assessments accurately and update care plans.
• Assess patient condition and identify problems to be addressed by nursing care.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and discharge planning.
• Coordinate with the health care team within the clinical area.
• Ensure safe, high-quality nursing care in line with standards and policies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
• Maintain infection prevention and control practices as required.
