Job summary

Muiríosa Foundation in Offaly seeks a Day Services Leader (CNM1/Social Care Manager 1) for a fixed-term, full-time appointment to drive vision, mission and values and oversee day-to-day operations.

The role requires management experience with adults with intellectual disability, strong people leadership, and the ability to travel between locations while promoting self-direction and active citizenship.

Qualifications

• Relevant recognised qualification - e.g. Nursing Qualification (RNID) Applied Social Studies in Social Care or other relevant qualification.
• Please note social care candidates must be registered with or CORU or confirm they are currently in the process of registering.
• Recognised Management Course
• Management experience in services for people with an Intellectual Disability
• Must be highly motivated with a proven record of leading, supporting and managing staff teams
• Knowledge and experience of implementing new directions
• Experience and commitment to developing person centred and self directed supports
• Experience of working with people with a range of support needs to include behaviours of concern
• Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role.

Responsibilities

• Drive forward the vision, mission and values of the Muiríosa Foundation for those we support.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Day Supports within their remit.
• Support individuals to be active citizens in their local community and promote self-determination and self-direction.
• Demonstrate effective communication with individuals, families and other professionals.
• Lead, supervise and motivate staff; work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Travel between locations as required.
• Manage competing priorities within workload.
