Job summary

Nicoll Curtin is seeking a Databricks Tech Lead for their Dublin team to own key data platform initiatives.

You will design and deliver Databricks on Azure, provide technical leadership across data platform and engineering initiatives, and ensure performance, security and governance for enterprise-scale data solutions. Permanent or contract roles available; Stamp 4/EU citizenship required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on Databricks and Azure experience with architecture and data engineering.
• Proven ability to lead design and delivery of enterprise data solutions.

Our client is a technology and data consultancy, and they are now looking for a Databricks Tech Lead to take technical ownership of key data platform initiatives in their Dublin team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of Databricks solutions on Azure.
• Provide technical leadership across data platform and engineering initiatives.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Own the performance, optimisation, monitoring and reliability of Databricks platforms.
• Lead the resolution of complex technical and platform issues.
• Work with engineering, architecture, business stakeholders and external technology partners.
• Drive best practices around data engineering, security, governance and platform management.
• Provide technical direction and challenge requirements where necessary to ensure the right solution is delivered.

Key Skills

• 6+ years’ experience working with cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
• Proven experience leading the design and delivery of enterprise data solutions.
• Strong understanding of Databricks architecture, data engineering and platform administration.
• Experience with platform optimisation, troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Ability to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
