Job summary

Venturi in Dublin is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support a large-scale data and AI transformation programme. You will design and deploy optimisation and forecasting models that improve resource allocation, scheduling and operational decision-making.

You will deliver hands-on technical work and collaborate directly with business stakeholders, presenting clear, explainable recommendations and insights to drive informed decisions within a busy consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Databricks and MLflow.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.

Location: Dublin

Day Rate: Up to €475 per day

The Role

A technology consultancy is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to support a large-scale data and AI transformation programme.

You will design and deploy optimisation and forecasting models that improve resource allocation, scheduling and operational decision-making. The role requires strong technical delivery alongside the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Build optimisation, scheduling and resource allocation models.
• Develop time-series forecasting and demand modelling solutions.
• Deploy and manage models using Databricks and MLflow.
• Build and maintain supporting data pipelines.
• Present clear, explainable recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Strong experience with optimisation, scheduling or resource allocation models.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and MLflow.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with forecasting and machine learning model deployment.
• Strong stakeholder communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience with Pyomo, PuLP, OR-Tools, Delta Lake or Medallion Architecture would be beneficial.

Candidates must be able to work onsite in Dublin three days per week and have the right to work in Ireland.
