Holafly, a fast‑growing scale‑up, is seeking a Data Architect to design the strategic blueprint for its enterprise data infrastructure. You will bridge global business goals with cutting‑edge technical execution, enabling real‑time analytics and scalable cloud solutions.

Lead the design of data lakes and BigQuery warehouses on GCP, implement robust ELT pipelines with dbt, and develop Python-based automation and data APIs.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years of senior data architecture experience.
• Proficient in Python for data processing and API development.
• Hands-on with GCP analytics and real-time processing.
• Expert in dbt for scalable data models.
• Ability to communicate complex cloud concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The Role

As our Data Architect, you will design the strategic blueprint for our enterprise data infrastructure, bridging Holafly's global business goals with elite technical execution. Your visionary architecture will empower our teams to leverage real-time data and modern cloud systems, directly shaping the future of global connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and scale our enterprise data architecture across the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), optimizing our data lakes, BigQuery warehouses, and event-driven infrastructure.

• Architect robust ELT pipelines utilizing dbt to guarantee modular, thoroughly tested, and highly reliable enterprise data models.

• Drive advanced programmatic solutions using Python to automate complex third-party API ingestion and build custom orchestration frameworks.

• Enable low-latency analytics by designing high-performing, real-time streaming pipelines leveraging Google Cloud Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Kafka for immediate operational use cases.

• Develop secure data APIs and microservices that facilitate efficient, scalable data consumption across internal applications and external partners.

• Establish enterprise data governance and security standards while providing technical leadership and mentorship to our engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of senior-level experience as a Data Architect, Modeler, or Lead Engineer with a degree in a quantitative or technical field.

• Expert-level proficiency in Python for high-volume data processing, pipeline orchestration, and API development (e.g., FastAPI).

• Deep hands‑on expertise with GCP analytics (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer) and real‑time processing architectures, specifically using Dataflow.

• Advanced experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) for building scalable, test-driven dimensional data models.

• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex cloud architecture strategies for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Google Cloud Certifications (Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect).

• Practical experience with modern data concepts like Data Mesh or Lakehouse architectures.

Hybrid Modality

We ask for a minimum of one day per week in the office, centred around critical ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
