The role focuses on improving herd health, fertility, milk production and overall farm efficiency through practical stockmanship, records and modern technology.

You will work with a management team and external specialists to identify opportunities and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial dairy environments with a focus on herd health, fertility and milk production.
• Ability to monitor performance using records and technology to drive improvements.
• Strong stockmanship and decision-making with practical, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor herd health, fertility, milk production and overall performance; identify issues and take action.
• Support calving, transition and early-lactation management to protect animal health.
• Contribute to grazing, feeding and forage planning for nutrition and rumen health.
• Assist breeding and fertility programs; track progress against targets.
• Use herd data and technology to assess trends and support management decisions.
• Oversee robotic milking performance and cow flow; liaise with vets and nutritionists.
• Monitor youngstock; uphold high welfare and husbandry standards.
• Drive efficiency and profitability through measurable improvements.
