Job summary

apetito UK in Galway is seeking drivers to deliver Wiltshire Farm Foods frozen meals and bring sunshine to customers’ doors. This part-time role is 24 hours per week, typically 3 days in a 6-day cycle, and requires a full manual driving licence.

You will enjoy meeting people and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced customer-focused environment. Working in a coldstore at -20ºC, you’ll be provided with protective clothing and scheduled breaks.

Qualifications

• Experience within a customer service-based role.
• Full Manual Driving Licence.
• Basic computer literacy including use of phone apps.
• Evidence of work stability.
• Basic secondary education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frozen meals to customers in a timely manner.
• Pick orders within the coldstore.
• Use the app to update customers' deliveries.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
• Carry out pre-shift inspection of your van.
• Drive safely and within the law.
• Refuel/clean your van as needed.
• Support the office and picking teams when required.

In this role you will be delivering frozen Wiltshire Farm Foods meals and bringing sunshine to our customers doors (no matter what the weather is doing). As such, you will enjoy meeting people and always be willing to go above and beyond what is expected.

Along with this, you will be working within our coldstore that runs at a chilly -20ºc. Protective clothing designed to deal with this temperature will be provided along with breaks to warm up and have a hot drink when necessary.

You will need to work as part of the wider team always looking to help out the office team. We encourage movement between teams to provide flexibility, job satisfaction, personal development and knowledge of the whole business.

• Undertake pre-shift inspection of your van

• Contact the office with any discrepancies or delays
• Ensure customer confidentiality
• Helping the office team and picking team when requiredReporting health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues
• Assist the team if another member of the team is absent or on holiday
• Carry out local marketing activities such as leaflet door drops and sheltered housing visits to attract new customers

Essential

• Experience within a customer service-based role
• Full Manual Driving Licence
• Basic computer literacy including use of phone apps
• Evidence of work stability
• Basic secondary education

Desirable

• Experience of multi-drop delivery role
• Experience within a care-based role
• Warehouse experience
• Health & Safety awareness

Personal Qualities

• Friendly, approachable and reliable
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
• Good attendance and timekeeping

You must have held a manual driving licence for at least 2 years.

All offers of employment are subject to a Driving Assessment, Driving Licence checks and other relevant employment checks.
