Job summary

Lidl Ireland in Portmarnock is seeking a Customer Assistant on a 30 hour contract to help deliver an outstanding shopping experience across the store.

You'll work across shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including handling alcohol sales for customers aged 18+, and you'll be supported by a transparent pay system with progression opportunities.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate from €15.40 rising to €17.90 after 3 years, plus benefits like pension, holidays and employee discounts.

You’ll work across different shift times, on varied tasks and with different colleagues.

What does a normal day* as a Customer Assistant look like? (*there’s no such thing as ‘normal’ in retail but we’ve tried our best!)

As a Customer Assistant you are required to sell alcohol, therefore you must be 18 or over to work in our store.

Shift Patterns

• Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am with your team, you’ll be getting our award-winning products fully stocked on the shop floor and our delicious bakery products ready for our customers to enjoy by opening time so they can Go Full Lidl!
• Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, you’ll make sure our stores are spotlessly clean, well presented and our products remain fresh, all while helping customers with queries on the shop floor and working on tills to minimise till queues
• Late shift: From your start time in the afternoon, you’ll make sure our customers experience is top class by serving them with a smile while on the tills, restocking missing items and getting the store ready for the next day
