Job summary

Lidl Ireland is hiring a Customer Assistant on a 30 hour contract. You will greet customers, assist on tills, stock shelves and maintain high store standards. You’ll work across morning, middle and late shifts, delivering a friendly shopping experience.

Starting pay is €15.40 per hour, rising to €17.90 after 3 years, with benefits including holidays, pension, and development opportunities. You must be 18+ to work and enjoy a fast-paced, team environment.

You’ll work across different shift times, on varied tasks and with different colleagues.

What does a normal day* as a Customer Assistant look like? (*there’s no such thing as ‘normal’ in retail but we’ve tried our best!)

As a Customer Assistant you are required to sell alcohol, therefore you must be 18 or over to work in our store.

Shift Patterns

• Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am with your team, you’ll be getting our award-winning products fully stocked on the shop floor and our delicious bakery products ready for our customers to enjoy by opening time so they can Go Full Lidl!
• Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, you’ll make sure our stores are spotlessly clean, well presented and our products remain fresh, all while helping customers with queries on the shop floor and working on tills to minimise till queues
• Late shift: From your start time in the afternoon, you’ll make sure our customers experience is top class by serving them with a smile while on the tills, restocking missing items and getting the store ready for the next day

What you'll do

What you'll need

• Preferably, previous experience in a customer facing role but this is not essential provided you have the right attitude
