Position: Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) - Construction Quality Lead

Location: Working between our Bagenalstown office in Co. Carlow and Jones Engineering Construction Sites in Europe.

Job Description

As a CSA Quality Lead, you will play a role in our project development and implementation process. You will work closely with personnel at Managerial level as well as a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver cutting-edge projects. Current requirements allow for a base in our office in Co. Carlow and as required Jones Eng. sites throughout Europe ( as required).

Your responsibilities will include

• Responsible for establishing and maintaining the Quality Management System on Civil, Structural and Architectural Projects.
• Take ownership for the CSA quality delivery of projects, ensuring that all client specifications are met, by accurately developing and executing Jones Engineering project quality plans.
• Lead the quality ethos for projects through a “Right First Time” approach. This will be conducted through delivering training, quality conversation starters, developing and approving “First of a Kind” mock-ups, and auditing and QA initiatives.
• Lead the Quality team including Site Project Quality Engineers
• Work closely with Group Quality CSA Leads and other Group Quality staff
• Understand the lifecycle of a CSA project from Initiation through to completion and handover. Be familiar with Multidisciplinary interfaces on CSA projects and lead this side of the delivery.
• Overseeing the applicable Jones Engineering database for each project, ensuring it is kept up to date and accurate, which will essentially deliver the handover documentation to the client.
• Overseeing the development of system and equipment test packs using Project Quality Management Software on a project-by-project basis.
• Liaise with the Jones Quality Campus Lead and Jones CSA Contracts Manager on handover documentation and system handover dates, ensuring full Coordination with all discipline partners.
• Liaise with the construction teams regarding handover dates, scheduling walk downs, developing snag lists etc. Monitoring snag trends and addressing same through construction teams.
• Review Installations for compliance to Jones Project Specific Quality Plan & ITPs, Project standards, specification, design, procedures & expectations.
• Oversee 3rd party inspections & contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure QA requirements are met by CSA subcontractors.
• Oversee & complete regular site quality audits.
• Attend quality meetings with management and subcontractors and report on quality as required.

Skills and Requirements

• Relevant Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services/Construction Management/ Quality qualification
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience, post qualification within the Construction industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and work independently on projects with strong team support.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office systems required.
• Demonstrated appetite for continuous learning and personal development.
