Job summary

Winthrop Technologies is Europe’s dedicated data centre delivery partner, seeking an experienced CSA Design Lead to oversee CSA design information, evaluate technical compliance and manage technical risk. You will support project teams with VE options and lead regional design discussions.

The role requires a civil/structural engineering degree and 7+ years in CSA/design roles, with strong capability in Eurocodes, BIM teams, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar discipline.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in CSA Engineering, Design Engineering, CSA Lead Engineer, or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of design principles and structural analysis.
• Strong exposure to Eurocodes.
• Experience of completing technical reviews.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Strong understanding of CSA construction sequencing, methodologies and coordination.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary and BIM teams.
• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry-out technical reviews of Design information.
• Assess the technical accuracy of information at Tender stage.
• Review Designers output against contracted requirements.
• Provide ad-hoc technical support to regional Design Teams.
• Review projects for Lessons Learned.
• Deliver VE and concept design solutions.
• Develop and deliver discipline-centric CPD.
• Identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues.
• Lead discussions with regional Design teams and manage open Risk items.
