53.3400421142578;-6.25354719161987;Dublin 2 , We now have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Loans Credit Officer for a Leading Credit union in Dublin.

  • The role will provide an efficient lending service to members, including granting loans to members in accordance with legislation, regulation and the Credit Union’s written Credit Policy and Procedure Notes, operating within the specified limits of responsibility and authority and practising responsible lending in line with the Credit Union ethos.
  • Ensure all loan applications outside the loan officer’s remit are placed before the relevant loans officer for consideration.
  • Manage loan administration, safekeeping of credit agreements and other relevant documentation, and practice good customer due diligence (CDD).
  • Contribute to decision-making on members’ applications for rescheduling of existing loans.
  • Deal with member queries on products and services.
  • Process transactions in an efficient and accurate manner; serve members through multiple channels (telephone, online or over the counter).
  • Complete other duties as assigned, including a range of administrative and organisational tasks as delegated by the Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a frontline role within a credit union or similar financial institution.
  • At least APA Loans, with a preference for a full QFA.
  • Experience in underwriting unsecured loans is essential; mortgage underwriting experience would be beneficial.
  • Team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills; member-focused, friendly with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks; willingness to be flexible and take on new tasks and projects.
  • Excellent IT skills; experience preferred.
