Job summary

A cosmetic retail company in Cork is seeking a Counter Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will focus on creating exceptional customer experiences, leading your team to achieve performance targets, and managing daily operations. The ideal candidate has prior experience in retail or hospitality and is skilled in people management and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Prior relevant experience as a Counter Manager or equivalent within retail or hospitality.
  • Proven track record of exceeding KPIs such as conversion, ATV, UPT and mystery shop results.
  • Experience in sharing knowledge to drive behavioural change and develop others.

As Counter Manager, your focus is on creating an unforgettable customer experience and helping your team to reach their full potential!

You’ll work closely with your Account Manager to put our local business strategy into place as well as continuously reach performance targets and take charge with effective leadership. You’ll lead by example and coach your team to deliver an excellent customer experience!

You’ll also define daily objectives and actions to drive KPIs, develop monthly plans based on productivity targets, ensure to build upon our brand awareness, manage inventory and day-to-day operations and drive employee wellbeing and engagement with regular 1-to-1’s and making a genuine connection with your team by celebrating success!

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Qualifications
  • Prior relevant experience as a Counter Manager experience or equivalent within retail or hospitality.
  • Proven track record of exceeding KPIs such as conversion, ATV, UPT and mystery shop results.
  • People management skills (e.g., communication, motivation, coaching, connection, and inspiration)
  • Experience in sharing knowledge to drive behavioural change and develop others.
  • Decision making and problem‑solving skills.
