Job summary

Bidvest Noonan is seeking a Security Officer for a corporate client site in Galway. The role is full-time, with average 40 hours per week across days, nights and weekends, requiring PSA licensure and a full driving licence.

The officer will monitor access control, CCTV, and provide high-quality customer care within a professional security team. You will report security events, assist with emergencies, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.

Responsibilities

• Act as an ambassador for the company.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Bidvest Noonan for a Security Officer based at one of our corporate clients in Galway.

Position: Full Time

Hours: Average 40hrs per week. Availabilty for Days, Nights & Weekends

Rate of Pay : €16.15 p/h & €20 night allowance. €3.44 P/H Sunday Premium if worked

We require Officers to be PSA licenced.

The Security Officer role is required to provide an efficient, effective and professional security service.

Key Duties

• Act as an ambassador for the company
• Follow on site security requirements including access control and CCTV
• Report any security events in the onsite Daily Activity Report
• Access control
• Visitors first point of contact
• Deal with emergency situations, supporting emergency services as required
• Complete the onsite paperwork in a clear format
• Liaise with Bidvest Noonan Management regarding any security issues or problems
• Customer Care experience
• Oversee building open up/lock up procedure and mobile patrols
• Car park and traffic management

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedures
• Ability to work with confidential and classified information
• 5-year verifiable history
• Valid Visa to work in Ireland on a full-time basis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
• Customer/Client focused
• Must be able to work under pressure, be able make decisive decisions during incidents and difficult situations
• Basic computer literacy required
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to respond to issues in an effective, efficient and calm manner
• Full Driving License
