Job summary

Apple’s Core Network Services Operations team keeps Apple’s MPLS backbone network running smoothly and efficiently. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to operate and maintain a multi-vendor network at scale.

The position requires strong written and verbal communication, a passion for operational excellence, and the ability to work across time zones while delivering reliable networking services and supporting peering and transit initiatives.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of network operations experience in a large scale enterprise or service provider environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide front line support for Apple’s MPLS backbone network, its DC, Edge, and Internet connectivity, and related metro and long-haul transport networks.
• Handle tickets and break fixes, take escalations from and mentor junior team members, develop network automation playbooks, and maintain and upgrade networks to current standards.
• Coordinate peering expansions and contribute to technical and procedural documentation.
