Job summary

David F. Mc Mahon & Co Solicitors in Dublin is seeking a motivated Solicitor to join on a 24-month maternity cover, focusing on residential conveyancing with some probate exposure. You will manage your own caseload and work as part of a friendly, established team.

The ideal candidate is newly qualified or PQE with solid property and probate experience, capable of liaising with clients and professionals and delivering high-quality work in a busy Dublin practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with experience in conveyancing and probate.
• Strong understanding of Probate and residential property law and practice in Ireland.
• Excellent file management, drafting, and client communication skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Team player with a proactive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential conveyancing files from instruction to post-completion, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and voluntary transfers
• Manage wills and probate files from instruction to post-completion
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and lenders to progress transaction
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Draft and review contracts, title documents, and closing documents
• Attend to stamping and registration with the PRAI and Revenue
• Provide general assistance to other fee earners on probate files and other private client matters as required
