Location: Limerick (On-site / Hybrid depending on project phase)

Contract: 12–18 Months

Sector: Pharmaceutical / Regulated Manufacturing

Experience: 8+ Years Project Management

Daily Rate: Up to €650 per day, depending on experience and fit for the role

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale Capital Projects across both Information Technology and Facilities/Engineering environments. This is a high-impact role within a highly regulated pharmaceutical (or similar) setting, where you will manage cross-functional teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure the successful planning, execution, and commissioning of major site initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects within regulated industries, demonstrating strong governance, technical acumen, and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end management of large Capital Projects spanning IT infrastructure, systems implementation, and facilities upgrades.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, risk registers, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams including Engineering, IT, Operations, QA, EHS, and external contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (GMP/GxP) and site quality standards throughout all project phases.
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, procurement processes, and vendor performance.
  • Manage project governance frameworks including steering committees, stage gates, and change control.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with appropriate documentation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Report project status, risks, and key milestones to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience Required
  • 8+ years’ experience in Project Management within Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Biotech, or other regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large capital projects involving both IT and Facilities scope.
  • Strong understanding of GMP/GxP, validation requirements, and regulated project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with IT systems implementation, infrastructure projects, or digital transformation in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with facilities upgrades, construction coordination, commissioning, and handover.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, etc.).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is an advantage but not essential.
