Job summary

Software Placements is seeking a Contract Senior Design Verification engineer for an 8-month role in Cork, Ireland. The successful candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience and a strong understanding of SoC architectures. Responsibilities include developing and executing verification test plans and verifying SoC interfaces like AXI and DMA. Candidates with experience in modem verification and SystemC-based verification are preferred. Remote contractors will also be considered.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of interrupts, reset, and clocking schemes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute verification test plans for SoC interfaces.

Client:

Our client a leading a Multinational Semiconducto r Company requires Contract Senior Design Verification for 8 month daily rate role based in Cork City, Ireland. Remote based contractors will also be considered for this opening.

Role:

You will join a team and take an active role in the verification of complex SoC designs, with a strong focus on SoC interfaces and system?level verification. Experience in modem verification is considered a strong advantage.

The role involves ownership of verification activities from specification analysis through signoff, working closely with design team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute verification test plans SoC interfaces and SoC HW controller.
• Verify SoC interfaces and controllers, such as:
  • AXI / AHB / APB
  • DMA
  • SPI, I2C, UART, USB.
• Implement verification environments primarily in SystemC, and integrate with existing verification frameworks.
• Develop directed and scenario?based tests, checkers, and coverage.
• Debug functional issues across RTL and full chip simulations.
• Collaborate with RTL designers.

Education:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Experience:

• 5+ years of hands?on experience in Design Verification
• Strong understanding of SoC architectures and interfaces
• Solid knowledge of:
  • Interrupts, reset, and clocking schemes
  • Memory systems and interconnects
  • Performance, throughput, and stress scenarios
• Strong debug skills and ability to work independently

Advantage / Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SystemC?based verification (advantage, not a must)
• Experience in modem verification (e.g., LTE / NR)
• Familiarity with UVM / System Verilog environments
