Beaumont Hospital in Dublin is seeking a Consultant Urologist for a permanent role focused on penile cancer care. The position involves 33.5 hours per week, integrating responsibilities at Beaumont Hospital, Connolly Hospital, and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
As part of this role, you will lead clinical care, develop referral pathways, and engage in teaching and academic activities. Candidates must be registered in the Specialist Division of the Medical Council in Ireland.
BEAUMONT HOSPITAL (incorporating St. Joseph’s Hospital Raheny) is a large academic teaching hospital 5 km north of Dublin city centre. It provides emergency and acute care services across 54 medical specialties to a local community of approximately 290,000 people and serves as the designated cancer centre and regional treatment hub for several specialities, including neurosurgery, neurology, renal transplantation, and gastroenterology.
This permanent appointment falls under the Public Only Consultants’ Contract 2023 within the Dublin and North East Region, engaging 33.5 hours per week at Beaumont Hospital/Connolly Hospital/St. Joe’s Raheny and an additional 3.5 hours per week at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. The role will be predominantly focused within the National Penile Cancer Centre at Beaumont Hospital, with a major emphasis on the delivery and development of specialist penile cancer services, regional referral pathways, multidisciplinary care, and academic activity.
