Job summary

M.T.S. LIMITED is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations in Carlow, Ireland. The role involves preparing and testing samples across concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, and related materials, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and quality control.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ years in laboratory or construction materials testing, good English communication, and a reliable, team-oriented work ethic in a on-site Carlow environment.

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory or construction materials testing experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test construction material samples in accordance with laboratory testing procedures and standards.
• Conduct laboratory testing on materials, including concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, and related construction materials.
• Maintain accurate records and report test results.
• Follow quality control procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Ensure laboratory equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and organised condition.
• Assist with sample collection, storage, and preparation.
• Support laboratory operations and technical staff as required.
