Job summary

Engage People Recruitment is seeking a Financial Accountant for a large construction business in Dublin. The role covers coordination and execution of account reconciliations, budget compilation and back-up to accounts payable.

You'll manage monthly financial accounting processes, prepare management accounts and analysis across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, and support project accounting with cost monitoring and forecasts.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 1-2 years PQE.
• Experience with reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial accounting processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and month-end reporting.
• Prepare management accounts and financial analysis, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis.
• Support project accounting by monitoring construction costs, WIP, subcontractors, margins, budgets and forecasts, working closely with project and commercial teams.
• Assist with statutory accounts, VAT, audit requirements and financial controls, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting.
