Job summary

A leading risk management company is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee compliance responsibilities for its Dublin office. This hybrid role involves ensuring adherence to EU and Irish legislation, developing relationships with compliance functions, and improving compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance within (re)insurance and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a compliance role, ideally within (re)insurance.
  • Strong knowledge of Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements and GDPR.
  • Company Secretarial experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and implement procedures to meet Irish regulatory requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory changes.
  • Act as Compliance Practitioner for client companies, including attending Board meetings and delivering reports.
  • Escalate breaches or risks to the Head of Compliance.
  • Maintain relationships with regulators, Boards, and Senior Managers.
  • Deliver compliance training to staff and clients.
  • Contribute to projects improving compliance and control environments.
  • Undertake ad-hoc compliance projects and other duties as required.

Overview

Artex is a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher, one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage and risk‑management companies, with a global presence in over 150 countries. The Compliance Manager will oversee compliance responsibilities for Artex Risk’s Dublin office and a growing portfolio of clients. The role involves ensuring adherence to EU and Irish legislation, requirements, and best practices. The successful candidate will develop relationships with compliance functions across Artex jurisdictions and contribute to enhancing compliance standards. This is a hybrid role where you will work 2–3 days in our Dublin office.

How you’ll make an impact

About You
  • Professional Diploma in Compliance (or willingness to complete) or relevant
  • Finance/Insurance qualification.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in a compliance role, ideally within (re)insurance.
  • Strong knowledge of Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements and GDPR.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Company Secretarial experience is advantageous.
