Job summary

Mowlam Healthcare Group is seeking a Housekeeper to join Kilbarry Care Centre in Waterford. You will clean across the home and laundry, ensuring high hygiene standards and resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a similar role is required.
• Experience in a healthcare environment with HIQA standards is an advantage.
• Awareness of COSHH, RIDDOR, Health & Safety, and Manual Handling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Fluent English, reliable, and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the home to a high standard (vacuuming, damp/mopping, dusting).
• Ensure cleaning products and equipment are stored and used safely.
• Check equipment/furnishings for faults and report to the manager.
• Interact courteously with residents, families and visitors.
• Handle laundry including washing, ironing and sorting by nametags.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the laundry area.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Follow health and safety regulations and report hazards promptly.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required.
