Dovida Ireland invites applications for a Home Healthcare Assistant on the Enhanced Home Support Service. You will work with the same clients weekly, following clear care plans and receiving training from a nurse for clinical tasks. Full paid training and potential career progression are offered.

Shifts are full-time or part-time with typically paired work alongside another carer, and Sunday premiums apply. A supportive team and meaningful, home-based care are core to the role.

Competenze

• Some experience in care work – in homecare, a nursing home, a hospital or a similar setting.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare is an advantage, but not essential – we will support you to gain it.
• A calm, kind and reliable approach, and comfort working with complex needs.
• The ability to follow a care plan and write clear, simple notes in English.
• The fitness to manage the physical side of the role.

Mansioni

• Follow each client’s care plan with dignity and respect.
• Assist with personal care, grooming and daily routines.
• Administer medications after training and sign-off.
• Support clients to eat and drink well, including PEG where needed.
• Check skin, help clients change position to prevent pressure sores.
• Move and handle using appropriate equipment.
• Record clear notes and update the nurse or office on changes.
• Work with a registered nurse during clinical tasks and sign-off.
