Job summary

Dovida Ireland is hiring a Home Healthcare Assistant for Enhanced Home Support Service. You will work with clients in their homes, following clear care plans and delivering respectful, person-centred care. You’ll receive full paid training, mileage reimbursement, and shifts that may include mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• Some care work experience is preferred in homecare or similar settings.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare is an advantage, but not essential – we will support you to gain it.
• A calm, kind and reliable approach with comfort working with complex needs.
• Ability to follow a care plan and write clear, simple notes in English.
• The fitness to manage the physical side of the role.

Responsibilities

• Follow each client's care plan; responsibilities vary by client.
• Provide personal care with dignity during routines such as washing, dressing and grooming.
• Support neurogenic bowel and catheter care after training and certification.
• Assist with medications once trained and signed off.
• Support eating and drinking, including PEG if needed.
• Monitor skin and reposition to prevent pressure sores.
• Use hoists and equipment safely; move and handle clients as required.
• Support daily activities and exercise programs; document care with clear notes.
• Report any changes in a client's condition to the nurse or office.
