A social service organization in Ballymahon is seeking a part-time Community Outreach Worker to support individuals in building confidence and engaging with their community. The role involves developing educational and social opportunities while maintaining flexibility in working hours. Candidates require a QQI Level 6 qualification and a clean driving license. The position offers annual leave and a salary based on experience.

Clonard Adult Services (Castlerea, Ballintubber, Ballinlough, Cloonfad areas). Staff allocation could be either within day/residential/respite settings or in community services. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Clonard services and this work location may change due to future service needs.
The Community Outreach Worker will support people to build confidence, access their community, provide opportunities for social engagement and personal development. The Community Outreach Worker will be involved in the development and implementation of educational, vocational, and recreational opportunities for people supported in the service. The successful candidate will fulfil a key worker role for people supported and will work to develop active roles and increase participation in local communities. The Community Outreach Worker will provide practical assistance and support to each person to develop links in the community.
39 hours a fortnight based on a 14 day duty roster. The successful candidate will be required to work days, late evenings, weekends, public Holidays and irregular rosters from time to time in order to meet service demands. There may also a requirement to support people on short breaks and overnight support on occasion. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual.
Contracted hours of work are liable to change over 7 days to meet the requirements of the service. 22 days per annum
Department of Health Instructor / Supervisor salary scales as at 01/08/2025 apply: €35,432 x 12 increments - €51,373 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time).
Salary quoted is based on a 39 hour working week. The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous public sector service. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays and night duty when worked.
Both posts are Permanent Part-time and pensionable.
