Job summary

Corlann – West Region (Bruach na Mara Adult Services in South Connemara) is seeking permanent and temporary full-time Support Workers (Care Assistant Disability Services grade). Ref: 102166.

A panel may be formed for future vacancies, with occasional locum roles available. Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in the field of intellectual disability or a FETAC Level 5 course is an advantage.
• A full clean manual driving licence is an essential requirement; Class D1 may be required.
• Experience of working with people with an intellectual disability/autism/complex needs is desirable; induction and training will be provided.
• Fluency in verbal and written English and IT skills are essential.
• Flexibility, teamwork, patience and a sense of humour.

Responsibilities

• Support people in daily living, promoting independence and development of skills.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines (meals, hygiene).
• Help participants engage in community activities and social roles.
• Work within a 14‑day duty roster; may involve weekends, sleep-ins and varied shifts.
