Job summary

ROSS Cx seeks an Electrical Commissioning Manager for a client-side role at a data centre power generation facility in Dublin. You will act as the technical filter between design/build contractors and the Commissioning Authority, ensuring all submissions are complete and accurate on first submission.

You will review tags, turnover packages, and documentation, pushing for high standards while coordinating with vendors and the client-side team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical commissioning on data centre, power generation or mission-critical projects.
• Electrical trade or engineering background with degree or apprenticeship and site experience.
• Technically strong on tag systems, test documentation and turnover packages; identify issues early.
• Client-side or commissioning authority-facing experience is advantageous.
• Dublin-based or willing to work on site in Dublin full time.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review of electrical commissioning documentation and equipment tags.
• Review tag data across generation plant, switchgear, protection and related electrical systems.
• Push vendors/contractors to provide complete, accurate submissions and address gaps.
• Maintain documentation to prevent rejections from the Commissioning Authority.
• Support the client-side commissioning lead across the wider workload.
• Attend commissioning meetings and track open items, tag status and close-out.
• Engage with contractor commissioning teams while keeping the review line firm.

ROSS Cx supports major data centre and mission-critical projects across Ireland and EMEA. We deliver commissioning across electrical, mechanical, and management disciplines, working with contractors and clients to test, prove, and hand over critical infrastructure safely and on time.

ROSS Cx is hiring an Electrical Commissioning Manager for a client-side role on an on-site power generation facility serving a hyperscale data centre campus in Dublin.

This is the review seat, not the production seat. You'll sit with the client-side delivery team as the technical filter between the design and build contractor and the Commissioning Authority, making sure everything that goes up the chain is right first time.

Commissioning Manager - What you'll be doing:

• Technical review of electrical commissioning documentation and equipment tags before submission to the Commissioning Authority
• Reviewing tag data across generation plant, switchgear, protection, controls and associated electrical systems
• Pushing vendors and contractors to populate tags with complete, accurate information, and returning incomplete submissions with clear direction on what's missing
• Holding documentation to a standard so nothing bounces back from the Commissioning Authority
• Supporting the client-side commissioning lead across the wider commissioning workload
• Attending commissioning meetings and tracking open items, tag status and close-out
• Building working relationships with the contractor's commissioning team while keeping the review line firm

Commissioning Manager - What we're looking for:

• 5+ years in electrical commissioning on data centre, power generation or mission-critical projects
• Electrical trade or engineering background - a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, or an apprenticeship backed by the right site experience
• Technically strong on tag systems, test documentation and turnover packages - you can spot what's wrong before anyone else does
• Confident holding vendors and contractors to a standard without burning the relationship
• Client-side or Commissioning Authority-facing experience is a real advantage
• Dublin based, or able to work on site in Dublin full time
