Account Handler, Farm/ Agri
Location: Mallow
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Account Handler to join our Farm First team. In this role, you will be joining a farm team of 15 teammates dealing with a broad range of insurance products from personal lines, farm, and commercial lines. We deal with over 2,700 farm policies representing 10% of the farm broker market. We deal with 4 insurers in Farm (Aviva, Zurich, iSure and Axa).

As a niche team running at the intersection of personal and commercial insurance, the Farm team offers a unique environment to deepen your insurance expertise making it an ideal stepping stone for those aspiring to move into a future career in commercial insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day to day support and servicing to existing clients on their insurance needs, e.g., issuing renewals and renewal comparisons.
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Understand customer needs thoroughly through active listening and informed discussions.
  • Handle ad hoc customer requests as they arise including mid‑term adjustments, claims reporting and management.
  • Identify new business opportunities and follow up by issuing quotations to the client.
  • Carry out robust due diligence on customer risks and identify suitable market options and cover solutions.
  • Maintain correct and clear documentation and file notes in line with system protocols (e.g. Applied Relay).
  • Contribute positively to a team‑focused, professional, and solution‑oriented environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • APA or CIP qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience working within a broking (personal or commercial) team with an understanding of insurance products and processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑first mindset
  • A prominent level of attention to detail and an investigative mindset
  • A collaborative team player who supports teammates and team leaders alike
  • Excellent time management, with commitment to reliability and productivity
  • Willingness to take initiative and help drive a positive team culture
  • Understanding of and compliance with fitness and probity standards and the Minimum Competency Code
  • Experience using Relay is helpful but not essential.
