Job summary

Amazon AWS seeks a Colo Physical Security Architect to lead security designs for Colocation DCs across EMEA, guiding CPTED-aligned concepts and security standards. You will work with AWS security teams and colo vendor partners to ensure safe, resilient data center facilities and scalable control solutions.

The role requires a background in electrical engineering, experience with mission-critical facilities, and strong communication skills to coordinate across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Experience in commissioning.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead designs (construction drawings and specifications) for physical security elements for Colo DC projects.
• Collaborate with other security organizations to develop design standards and evaluate cost, risk and benefits.
• Communicate conceptual designs to internal stakeholders and external consultants.
• Maintain basis of design documents, prototype design, and template specifications.
• Create security design scope of work for Colo DC project RFPs.
• Review and direct the work of Colo physical security engineering design consultants.
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• Travel for site assessments and meetings; anticipated travel up to 25%.
