Job summary

Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver care for children and adolescents within the Mental Health services. The CNS will work under the NCNM 2008 framework, focusing on specified CAMH caseload and professional development requirements.

The post requires active NMBI registration (or eligibility) in the Childrens Nursing division, with a minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in CAMH and CPD commitment. Onboarding notes and onboarding dates apply.

Qualifications

• Be a registered Psychiatric nurse on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives or be eligible for registration
• Be registered in the Childrens Nursing division with NMBI, or in exceptional cases in another division
• Have a minimum of 1 year post-registration full-time experience or equivalent in the division of registration
• Have at least 1 year of experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health specialist area
• Have completed a post-registration programme verified as QQI Level 9 or equivalent (60 ECTS+) relevant to the specialist area
• Provide CPD evidence relevant to the specialist area or have CPD support to obtain it
• Ability to practice safely and effectively within scope of practice
