Job summary

Orange Recruitment is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) to provide clinical, professional, and managerial leadership within the Medical, Oncology and Cardiology Services in Dublin, Ireland. The post holder will support the CNM2 and multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while ensuring compliance with professional standards.

The CNM1 will contribute to resource management, staff development, and promoting evidence-based practice to achieve optimal patient

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse on the active NMBI register.
• Minimum three years post-registration acute hospital experience.
• Evidence of leadership and staff supervision experience.
• Knowledge of quality and risk management principles.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical leadership and act as a role model for nursing staff.
• Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care is delivered at all times.
• Ensure the safe care of patients receiving cancer treatment and supportive therapies.
• Support the delivery of specialist nursing care to patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
• Assist in monitoring patients undergoing cardiac investigations and interventions.
• Ensure timely assessment and escalation of deteriorating patients.
• Promote best practice in patient flow, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
• Assist in managing ward resources efficiently and effectively.
• Participate in workforce planning and rostering.
• Support recruitment, induction, and retention of nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and national healthcare standards.
• Promote patient experience and satisfaction through continuous service improvement.
