Job Title: Orthopaedic Clinical Support Specialist (Part-time – 3 day week)

RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client have a great opportunity to join the team of an international market leader as an Orthopaedic Clinical Support Specialist on a 3 day week, working typically Wednesday to Friday.

The role will work closely with decision makers to service existing customer base and help grow their market share with new business development alongside the Territory Sales Manager.

Requirements:
  • Hold a clinical qualification with at least 3 years relevant experience, preferably within the hip/knee implant area.
  • A willingness to work in a clinical support role and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A flexible attitude and focus on team work.
  • Proven attention to detail and follow through.
  • Capacity to integrate easily, a quick analytical mind and ability to work to deadlines.
  • A desire to work in sales an advantage.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
  • A clean, full driving license.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To develop and maintain a broad understanding and experience of all aspects of the support process and maintain a comprehensive and up to date specialist technical knowledge in line with product developments and customer requirements.
  • Be trained across a range of products and markets, maintains certification and ensures continued professional development (CPD) requirements.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activities and key market developments.
  • Required to provide appropriate clinical and technical support and advice to ensure customer relationships are maintained and sales targets are achieved.
  • Comfortable in theatre environment.
  • Delivery of first-class support and service in line with expected standards.
  • Ensure all cases are fully planned in advance, and ensure all admin matters are attended to in a timely manner.
  • Establish in-depth relationships with customers, instantly gaining credibility and trust based on specialist knowledge.
  • Recognise formal and informal power structures and be competent in tailoring your approach to successfully influence the decisions of choices of your customers, recognising that Key Decision Makers are critical in this process.
  • Develop relationships with external bodies relevant to our sector or any other organisation that will be pertinent to our business moving forward.
  • Proactively shares knowledge and provides assistance and advice to colleagues.
  • Business development within existing customer base, actively carry out research to identify new opportunities, provide input to marketing and develop business strategies.
  • Have sound commercial awareness, provide support with tenders and collaborate to share market knowledge.
  • Plan, organise, and prioritise own daily work routine to meet established schedule, based on requirements of customers and team.
