Job description

Nuritas is a pioneering biotechnology company combining artificial intelligence, genomics and peptide science to discover and develop natural bioactive ingredients with clinically relevant health benefits.

Our mission is to improve the lives of billions of people by unlocking the power of peptides and bringing scientifically validated ingredients into everyday products. We work at the intersection of discovery science, clinical evidence, nutrition and commercial application translating deep scientific insight into products that can create real-world impact.

As we continue to scale our clinical evidence base and ingredient pipeline, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Assistant to join our R&D team.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career scientist to gain hands-on experience in clinical research operations, nutrition science and R&D within a dynamic, fast-growing biotechnology company.

You will work closely with, and in direct support of, the Head of Clinical Trials, contributing to a broad range of activities across project coordination, scientific documentation, clinical administration and research support.

This is a support-focused role that requires strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and a proactive approach. No two days will look the same, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple areas of clinical research and applied nutrition science. Due to the nature of the role it will be based on‑site at our office and lab on Dawson St.

What You’ll Do
  • Participate in relevant R&D activities, meetings and discussions to build understanding of the clinical and ingredient development pipeline.
  • Assist with the preparation, formatting and proofreading of clinical documentation, including protocols, ethics submissions, clinical study reports and supporting materials.
  • Support the conduct of in‑house case studies, including participant coordination, data collection, documentation and follow‑up.
  • Assist with literature reviews to support clinical projects, ingredient development and scientific substantiation.
  • Support data entry, basic data organisation and review of research outputs where required.
  • Support clinical material logistics and coordinate scheduling activities, internal meetings, external partner discussions and CRO communications.
  • Help ensure documentation, trackers and project tools are kept accurate, current and accessible.
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying opportunities to make clinical administration and coordination more efficient.
  • Support a high-quality, organised and collaborative working environment within the R&D team.
  • Take meeting notes, track actions and follow up on agreed deliverables; keeping internal project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana or equivalent systems up to date.
  • Support coordination between internal teams and external providers to help ensure clinical activities remain on track.
What You’ll Bring
  • MSc in Nutrition, Biology, Life Sciences or a health related scientific discipline, with approximately 1 years’ relevant experience in clinical research OR BSc in the same with approximately 2 years’ relevant experience in food industry project management or nutrition science.
  • Exposure to clinical research through academic training, placement, internship or work experience.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop across clinical research, nutrition science and R&D activities.
  • Interest or experience in nutraceuticals, functional foods, dietary supplements, health ingredients or nutrition science.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Comfortable working primarily on‑site as part of a hands‑on R&D team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, particularly in documentation, proofreading and record‑keeping.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A proactive, self‑starter mindset, with the confidence to ask questions, follow up and look for ways to contribute.
