Job summary

You will oversee care plans, supervise medication, mentor staff, and drive infection control and safety initiatives, with guaranteed hours and competitive Sunday/Bank Holiday pay.

Qualifications

• BSc in General Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Registered on the NMBI live register.
• Previous managerial training or experience is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to inspire and motivate others and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care centre policies and best clinical practices are followed.
• Review residents with pressure sores, falls, or deterioration and implement care plans.
• Lead and supervise nursing teams, promote compassionate care.
• Identify training needs and deliver in-house sessions (infection control, palliative care, challenging behaviour).
• Conduct regular audits (medication, hygiene, safety, risk, documentation).
• Be main point of contact for residents and families; address concerns promptly.
• Assist with daily operations, rosters, handovers, and H&S compliance.
