Job description

Cpl Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for experienced staff nurses seeking to progress their career. Our client is a well established private Cork city hospital, who as a result of continuing expansion has a requirement for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 to join the team on their busy surgical orthopaedic ward.

The successful candidates will play a pivotal role within the multidisciplinary team to lead a team of staff in the implementation and provision of the highest quality patient care coordination and drive the management of activity and resources within the clinical area.

To be considered for the role, the following criteria will apply:

  • Registered General Nurse on the live register with The NMBI (Adaptation/RCSI aptitude test support is not available for this role).
  • Demonstrable commitment to patient Safety & Quality.
  • Applicants are required to have 3 years post grad acute care nursing experience on a busy surgical ward.
  • Orthopaedic nursing experience desirable.
  • Flexibility and demonstrable experience in meeting the challenges of coordinating and delivering orthopaedic surgical services.
  • Management qualification/educational preparation to degree level desirable.
  • Proven leadership and change management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills.
  • Preceptorship qualification and experience preferable.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
