Job summary

PE Global Healthcare (Ireland) seeks an experienced Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist / Clinical Psychologist to join a specialist multidisciplinary team in Dublin city centre and surrounding locations. The role focuses on assessments, formulations, neurorehabilitation and complex cases for adults with acquired brain injury.

The successful candidate will lead neuropsychological evaluations, develop interventions, contribute to risk management, provide supervision, and advance clinical governance

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Psychology is required.
• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology is essential.
• Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland or equivalent.
• Full qualification and independent practice eligibility.
• Minimum 3 years' postgraduate psychology experience.
• Specialist experience in Acquired Brain Injury and neurorehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological, cognitive and neuropsychological assessments.
• Develop clinical formulations and deliver evidence-based interventions.
• Complete functional behavioural assessments and Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
• Support neurorehabilitation, goal setting and community reintegration.
• Conduct capacity assessments and contribute to risk and safeguarding processes.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team on treatment and discharge planning.
• Provide psychological support, consultation and psychoeducation to individuals and families.
• Deliver training, workshops and presentations.
• Provide supervision and support to assistants and junior staff.
• Prepare high-quality clinical and neuropsychological reports.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit and service improvement.
• Manage a complex caseload with strong clinical judgement.

I am seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist / Clinical Psychologist to join a specialist multidisciplinary team providing high-quality psychological, neuropsychological and neurorehabilitation services to adults with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with a strong interest in neuropsychology, rehabilitation, cognitive assessment and complex clinical presentations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting psychological, cognitive and neuropsychological assessments
• Developing clinical formulations and delivering evidence-based interventions
• Completing functional behavioural assessments and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
• Supporting neurorehabilitation, goal setting and community reintegration
• Conducting capacity assessments and contributing to risk and safeguarding processes
• Working closely with the multidisciplinary team on treatment and discharge planning
• Providing psychological support, consultation and psychoeducation to individuals, families and colleagues
• Delivering training, workshops and presentations
• Providing supervision and support to Assistant Psychologists and junior staff
• Preparing high-quality clinical and neuropsychological reports
• Contributing to clinical governance, audit, service development and quality improvement
• Managing a complex caseload with strong clinical judgement and organisation

What We're Looking For

You will have:

• An Honours Degree in Psychology
• A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or an equivalent relevant qualification
• Eligibility for/current registration with the relevant professional regulatory body
• Full professional qualification and eligibility to practise independently
• At least 3 years' relevant postgraduate psychology experience
• Specialist experience in Acquired Brain Injury, neurorehabilitation, neuropsychology, cognitive assessment, behavioural support and psychological intervention
• Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, formulation and report-writing skills
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills
• A compassionate, person-centred and recovery-focused approach
• A commitment to professional ethics, safeguarding, CPD and evidence-based practice
• A full clean driving licence and access to private transport

Overseas Applicants

Overseas-qualified psychologists must have their qualifications validated by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) prior to interview.
