OVERVIEW
This role assumes responsibility for managing media campaign activity for multiple client accounts. The role will also act as a point of contact for clients surrounding the day-to-day account management activity. It requires the use of media planning tools, the effective management of the media planning processes, excellent attention to detail and time management to ensure best in class delivery on behalf of the media team for clients. It also requires strong collaboration and communication with the wider organisation across the Central Teams to ensure that delivery is to the highest standards. A strong working relationship with colleagues, particularly the Channel Planning and Investment teams, is a crucial element of this role.
Responsibilities
The role of Client Manager assumes the responsibility for media plan development for all clients within their team. This means the coordination of Central Teams within Core to produce the media plan that is delivered to clients. Included in this is the use of tools to power the media planning process. This role is central to the efficient and effective running of the day-to-day client service including ownership and actualisation of media plans, monitoring of POs, timely and accurate billing, creating presentations of competitor insights, ideation and working with the team to deliver innovation. The client manager will work closely with the Channel Planning and Investment teams, will manage the delivery of the media plan, and will ensure that it is aligned with the overall media rationale. This will all be delivered accurately and by adhering to processes as outlined in our ways of working. KPIs will include unbilled %, efficient resolution of media queries, and “Delivery” client service scores in the annual RADAR service review.
AGENCY PERFORMANCE
- Ownership of the creation of the media plan, working closely with The Channel Planning team and all Central Teams to ensure efficient delivery of the media planning process
- Management of campaign from start to end, essentially project managing the campaign (dealing with client queries, coordinating reports, monitoring, ensuring plans are audit ready)
- Ensure any audit recommendations that have been agreed by Business Director and Client Director with auditor are implemented on all media plans, including working with Channel Planning and Investment teams to manage
- Manage all campaign amendments, and push changes through to The Channel Planning team and Investment teams
- Internal coordination with Core Practices and Central Teams on live campaign queries including delivery updates and pacing reports
- Analyse and understand reports generated by Central Teams. Use the data generated to provide insights and identify clear actions to be taken
- Liaising with the Creative Agency and OOH agencies for delivery of creative assets
- Develop an understanding of each Practice and Central Team within Core and what it contributes to the overall plan
- Validate campaign delivery and performance
- Create and project manage post campaign reviews for clients
- Responsibility in making sure a campaign goes live
- Helping prep media presentations
- Coordinating media owner briefs and delivery
- Ensuring all plans are audit ready each month

COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE
- Collection and reconciliation of client POs and manage the internal communication of POs across teams ensuring effective and efficient month end billing in conjunction with the Media Operations Associate
- Reconciliation of all media plans at month end to reflect delivery
- Overall responsibility for billing at the end of each month
- Manage media budgets, forecasting and aged debt
- Ensure all billing is 100% accurate and on time for clients, and particularly on new out of scope projects, with correct booking category being used to easily and accurately identify progress.
- Ensure timesheets are updated weekly and that they accurately reflect the time spent on our clients business
TALENT MANAGEMENT
- Deepening understanding of media by committing to the internal training Core Learning programme(s) and regularly attend training for your development
- Developing understanding of client business, their Key Business Priorities for the year and play a role in creating the strategies to deliver against them
- Ensure close collaboration with Client Director so that they are enabled to actively assist your development and to ensure the consistent delivery of the highest standard of agency output

Your profile
Experience
- 2-4 years’ media experience with proven track record. Knowledge of the digital disciplines would be beneficial
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with 3rd party tracking (DoubleClick) is preferable
- Experience in managing large scale, complex media campaigns is essential
- Previous experience with relevant marketing tools
