Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment in Ireland seeks an experienced, fully qualified accountant to join our compliance division in Tipperary. You will own client relationships end to end, from preparation of financial statements to client meetings and billing, including taxation and company secretarial returns.

You will have scope to participate in consulting assignments such as financial analysis and modelling, with potential career progression into management consulting based on mutual fit.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Practice background — ideally gained in a small to medium-sized firm.
• Audit exposure or a tax qualification is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
• Confident, clear communicator, comfortable dealing with business owners face to face.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft and finalise financial statements (audit and audit-exempt) for a nationwide client base.
• Meet clients directly, present the numbers and advise on what they mean for the business.
• Take ownership of reconciliations, accounts file preparation and billing, within budget and to standard.
• Support clients and their finance functions with general business, financial and accounting advice.
• Contribute to consulting assignments such as financial analysis and modelling.
