THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Client Director to take ownership of a portfolio of key US‑based clients. You’ll be the strategic and commercial driver of your accounts, responsible for building trusted relationships with founders and executives, ensuring client satisfaction, driving renewals, and unlocking new opportunities for growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll have real ownership over revenue, renewals, and expansion, while working closely with the COO and Digital Management Team to deliver a top‑tier product development service and client success. You’ll also lead high‑stakes proposal processes from the first conversation to a signed deal.

This is a role for a commercially minded natural leader thrives on autonomy, influence, and tangible impact. It’s ideal for someone who understands both how digital products are built and how business value is created through technology.

Responsibilities
Account Ownership & Growth
  • Take full ownership of a portfolio of US clients across startup and scaleup stages.
  • Serve as the primary management contact from OAK’S LAB, building deep, trusted relationships with founders, executives, and product leaders.
  • Drive renewals, expansions, and upsells that create mutual long‑term value.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business goals, ensuring OAK’S LAB is positioned as a long‑term strategic partner.
  • Maintain visibility into client satisfaction to ensure top‑tier retention and NPS scores.
Commercial Strategy & Operations
  • Own revenue and retention targets for your accounts.
  • Work with the COO to structure contracts, pricing models, and budgets.
  • Partner with the CEO and sales team on closing new business opportunities.
  • Lead high‑stakes proposal processes from start to close.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to ensure client feedback informs ongoing delivery improvements.
  • Participate in internal product syncs, providing insights into client goals, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support delivery teams in strategic communication with clients.
Thought Partnership
  • Advise clients on how to further leverage OAK’S LAB’s capabilities to achieve business outcomes.
  • Represent OAK’S LAB as a trusted advisor at regular management check‑ins, alongside important workshops and key milestone meetings.
Experience & Skills
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience in client management, sales, or consulting roles at a digital product agency, software consultancy, or tech firm.
  • Proven record of expanding client accounts and exceeding growth targets.
  • Solid understanding of the software product development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.
Commercial & Strategic Skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing revenue, renewals, and budgets.
  • Confidence in leading negotiations in contracts, pricing, and long‑term partnerships.
  • Ability to think strategically about how technology can unlock business value.
