Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor

Location: Newbridge, Co. Kildare

Contract: Permanent, Full-time: Shift-based

Salary: €18.50

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team in a busy production and manufacturing facility in Newbridge. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll supervise up to 12 cleaning operatives, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and compliance are achieved, while also stepping in to support with cleaning duties when needed. Alongside leading the team, you’ll manage key operational tasks such as rota planning, payroll, training, and audits—keeping everything running smoothly and maintaining audit‑ready standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Supervise and support a team of up to 12 cleaning operatives.
  • Carry out cleaning duties alongside the team when required.
  • Plan rotas, manage holiday cover, and organise shift schedules.
  • Complete payroll submissions and maintain accurate timesheets.
  • Conduct audits, spot checks, and shift inspections to ensure high standards.
  • Manage stock levels and order cleaning supplies within budget.
  • Ensure full compliance with COSHH, PPE, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Train and develop the team, keeping all certifications up to date.
  • Represent Sodexo professionally, building strong client relationships.
  • Support wider site operations (e.g. town hall setups, furniture moves).
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising cleaning teams.
  • Strong knowledge of COSHH and safe chemical use.
  • Manual Handling trained with risk assessment experience.
  • Skilled in using industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage health & Safety.
  • Experience in food production/manufacturing (preferred).
  • Full Irish driving licence.
  • Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office, payroll/rota systems).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
